I seem to have been gardening for too long to remember, but at a professional level for not long enough. I wish that career change had come sooner. Redundancy payment covered my RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) level 2 qualification in 2004, which gave me an appetite for my first garden design qualification a few years later.
A number of years gaining experience followed, before continuing with part time study at Reaseheath College in Cheshire where I successfully took the BTEC advanced certificate and professional diploma in Garden Design ( passing with distinction - but that's showing off) and shortly after the RHS level 3 Certificate in Practical Horticulture and RHS level 3 Certificate in the Principals of Garden Planning, Construction and Planting ( without distinction - and that's being just plain honest).
I live in Hoole, Chester and currently work on a number of large gardens and stunning private estates in Cheshire and Ross-shire. I am also designing urban and rural gardens as well as continuing to produce planting schemes for private and corporate clients, including Holiday Inn Express, Brunning & Price and Aspect Construction.
Although specialising in planting and designing ornamental and fruit gardens, I have skills and experience in many aspects of horticulture. Do contact me to find out more.
